Officially opened in February 1990, the Charlottetown Civic Centre was built as two facilities for the 1991 Canada Winter Games. As a multi-purpose facility, our focus is to host premiere events for Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island; contributing to the city and province’s reputation as an event destination. Charlottetown Civic Centre Ice Schedule Charlottetown Civic Centre Camera Policy Many guests are extremely excited about seeing their favourite artist perform to ensure that this special moment is preserved by taking pictures. To ensure you fully enjoy your experience at the Charlottetown Civic Centre and are not disappointed or inconvenienced; we would like to provide you with the Charlottetown Civic Centre standard camera policy and some general information about taking pictures at our events.
It is extremely important to know that each event will have its own unique restrictions on photography and video; but generally the following standard restrictions apply to all Charlottetown Civic Centre events:
No Video Recording from any source - No Audio Recording from any source - No Professional Cameras
The Charlottetown Civic Centre defines a professional camera as "a camera, digital or otherwise, with a detachable/interchangeable lens of any size/type". Additionally, the Charlottetown Civic Centre staff reserves the right to restrict use of types of cameras should they feel the quality and/or type of camera fail to protect the artist and/or venue’s interests. - Ticket Information: Tickets can be purchased at the Charlottetown Civic Centre Box Office. Charge by phone at 902-629-6625
- Special Needs Contact Information: The Charlottetown Civic Centre has full access for guests with special needs and disabilities. If you need any further information, please contact Stu Dunn, Operations Manager 902-629-6621 or email sdunn@civiccentre.pe.ca.
- Accessible Seating: Accessible seating is located throughout the building depending on the event and location of the stage.
- Unannounced Patrons on the Night of an Event: Guests who need accessible seating but did not purchase tickets in an accessible area will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
- Entrances and Elevator: All entrances at the Charlottetown Civic Centre are accessible. The elevator is conveniently located off the main lobby near Gate 1.
- Facilities: All washrooms at the Charlottetown Civic Centre are wheelchair accessible.
- Service Animals: All service animals are welcome at the Charlottetown Civic Centre. Please notify the box office attendant at the time of purchase if an aisle seat is required for your service animal.
- Concessions: All concessions stands are at an accessible height.
- Telephones: Public telephones are wheelchair accessible and are equipped with volume control.
- Wheelchair Accessible: seating is available at the top of sections 5 and 6. Access to these areas are by elevator only.
Lost and Found Lost and Found is located in the Administration Office on the 2nd floor of the Civic Centre. Articles found during an event are kept through the next day and they are stored for 30 days. For more information, please call 902-629-6600 or email office@civiccentre.pe.ca.
